Simple ways to transition into Spring!

Since spring started on March 20 at exactly 7: 02 AM -according to the Farmer's 2013 Almanac, I thought I would share some of the ways I transisition some of my fashion choices from the dark winter colors to the bright colors of spring.

I think one of the easiest ways to transition from winter to spring is a change in nail polish and lipstick. They're both quick add ons to your woredrobe and can be thrown into your purse for a quick seasonal change on the go!

Nail Polish: Choose pastel, neon, or floral colors. If you want that true soft spring look avoid wearing warm/harsh neon colors like orange or a super hot pink or yellow (save those for summer!). Also avoid wearing any dusty rose or creamy/frosty colors. Those give off a wintery feel.

*if you don't have any good spring colors but need to paint your nails now, try using white! Although people say white is only good for "white winters", this isn't necessarily true. As long as you stay away from creamy whites, white is pretty common in floral print in floral prints, and it also pops.

Lipsticks: Bright colored lipstick such as purple has been very big at the moment (my favorite purple is Mac's Up the Amp). So go for the brighter pinks and purple hued colors, and if you have the skin tone for it maybe even rock one of those softer flourescent colored lipstick such as a soft pastel coral color. If you want a red or darker lip try a lipstain or sheer lipshick, using a matte or creme dark lipstick will weigh down the light/dewy spring look you may want.
